I was just reading the introduction to "Man's Search for Meaning," by Viktor Frankl, and the author describes Frankl's work as being "based on experiences that are too deep for deception." I love that phrase and it captures what is most thrilling to me about good speaking or writing, which is when someone speaks from lived experience in a way that goes straight into your veins in a transfusion of heart.
Another excellent piece Mr Lewis. I love the term - memory reclamation project. Being in the proximity of other storytellers as they remember and share, inspires and reminds us of our own stories. Love our Write Hearted group!
…the truth not only sets you free but it also commands attention…lock into yourself to unlock others…

For a speaker to lock YOU in speaks to the quality of the performance/content
